So how's the fishing been lately? Haven't had time to make it down tooooouch work. We just finished building the on Toyota Tundra trucks and and prepping and tooling up for the totally redesigned Tundras and Sequoias. Available in hybrid. So we're kinds slow right now before we crank it up. Was thinking of getting a hook. Seems like reports are few and far between. Hope everyone is well.

In a couple words for me, it sucks. None of my neighbors or any of my friends are catching much of anything in Laguna up close to the marina.

Tough to hear... Guess I'll let the simrad do the guiding then. Try a few places here and there. Heard Rockport way been doing good and it's a little shorter run for me from house. Guess we'll see in the morning which way the truck heads lol.... Other than that all is well here just need some saltwater therapy and get this new2 over 6 hrs lol

Rockport has been solid. Few solid fish coming from baffin but over all some pretty slow days with lots of reds and a few trout.

I fished yesterday morning for about three hours in the backyard. Beautiful day, light winds, clear water near the ditch. Drifted tight to spoils in moderately clear water, drifted greenish brown water, drifted aquarium clear water. Drifted potholes and solid grass bottoms. Threw plastics, Gulps, spoons and topwaters.

No trout, no reds, no flounder.

The only thrill was a 15-20 lb. black drum that I sightcasted to in front of the boat. It ate the Gulp and the fight was on. He spooked a nice size red off a pothole during the battle. After a few minutes of his shenanigans on the trout rod, I was not getting anywhere so I tightened up the drag a bit and the braid ended up breaking at the bail of the Shimano Sedona 2500 that I was using.

Lots of casting and no fish was better than being at work, though.

I found feeding reds this morning, but they were WAY back in the marsh, quietly working the shorelines. It was a nine mile paddle but winds were calm and it wasn't a problem. Not a lot of visible tails or smashing baits this morning, but fish were on a slow and deliberate feeding mission. Thankful that hop-scotching egrets helped me locate several of the groups from a distance. Got most of them on a crab fly.
