Winds relaxed and the surf FINALLY laid down, so I took the day off and headed South of Bob Hall. Launched near the bowl and headed to the platforms, and did manage a few fish. Kings were scattered but responsive to the right lures, and I even caught an acrobatic shark on a lure, which was not my plan. I thought I'd never get my lure back but finally managed to get it unpinned from his chin so he could go back to doing shark things again. Fourteen miles of paddling this morning and aside from generally needing a nap I feel good!

Glad to see you're able to get back out there in the surf again Glen. That's more exciting for me then to see that you're catching fish.

Offshore is where I feel at home. Sight casting redfish in the shallows is fun, but that vast open water holds a special place in my heart, especially when some of the fish play along. Very Happy

Thanks, yeah I had a Whataburger patty melt demanding immediate attention so I pulled over and dealt with the situation 😬
