| All the rain in South Texas must have really mudded up the bays and close in gulf water. When we lived down there big storms made fishing difficult for weeks sometimes because of Nueces river runoff. I hope someone will post conditions down there soon. Going stir crazy in Bulverde. |

| I don't know how clear the water is or not but my son went to pick up my boat from Waypoint Marine, who charged an exorbitant amount for annual service, and he was going to launch it there at Bluff Marina but he said the water was so high you could not see the dividing wall between the two launch ramps. |

Water is very high due to the tropicalish system coming from one side and I think all the run off from the rain.
Water in my cove looks like crap and is about 3 inches higher than I've seen it in my short time here. _________________ Steve-O

I launched at Bluff Landing last Friday evening. Granted it had rained a lot last week (and more this past week). While it was terribly windy last weekend, I found clear water the further I got from the mainland toward the ICW.
Clear enough to catch a red on a topwater during a short drift Friday evening before dark.
Fished for an hour or so late Saturday morning (again in clear water) but did not get a bite. It was so windy that it took the fun out of being on the water. Or maybe I am just getting old.
The bays and flats can get pretty fresh and the reds will not mind. |

The color of the water reminds me of what the water is always like in Sabine Lake and Calcaseu Lake in Louisiana and all points East until you get past the Mississippi River. |
