I downloaded the google photos app which has an option to attach a link to a photo, but I have not taken the time to learn to do it properly and add a proper photo to a post.

the size files you upload are always important for people reading the forum on computer screens.
Normal computer monitor display is 1440 pixels wide.
Any wider than this, and the thread scrolls off the screen, making it difficult to follow and read post after post.
I make a point never to upload photos more than 1220 pixels wide, but even better for display and discussion continuity on a thread, try to keep them down to about 700 pixels high.
Photo size doesn't matter for people reading on cell phones because they're low resolution display and resize every photo down to display small.

I agree that Imgur is easy to use once you figure it out - other folks are using postimage, and some still buy photbucket subscriptions.
Photobucket is still organized as the best database for archiving a really large number of photos
Here's a screenshot of Imgur on a single image display

and where the discussion doesn't matter, here's a nice hot-color slide shot on Agfa 25 and uploaded as a bitmap - that's the real color of the river and the trees

and a couple more that totally lose their impact on a small screen, but pop on a big screen

it was a really good photo, should have tried resizing it and editing the post with the same photo in a lower-resolution file.
Shotguns are always a great subject, especially put to use.
Been away on business then went fishing as soon as I got back, and hadn't seen this until today.
