Tagged a buck and a doe on public this year with my bow. Not quite as easy on public where they are hunted from October- January every day and no baiting is allowed, but I got it done.

Doe I got in October- I didn't make the greatest shot as I was shooting to miss branches and hit her a littler further back. She went maybe 80 yards, just was a tough track job at night.

Buck I got in late December. Rut seemed to be winding down and pressure really had them spooky. Had to really grind to get wind right, and setup where they were going to get away from hunting pressure. Made a good lung shot on him, he went maybe 60 yards. Was a 2.5 mile pack out.

Nice job! Public is definitely more work, but you kept at it and got it done. Love the way you get your son involved in processing. I do all my own and my daughter has very little interest until it's dinner time, lol.
