We are planning trips to bring our "new" Bay boat down for weekend fishing trips. Is there places in the area to store a boat for one or two nites with electricity for charging batteries? That are secure and everything will not get removed from boat or boat taken?

I used to have the same problem when hauling a boat from Austin, and finally rented a 30' X 12' stall in Port A with concrete drive, and floor, and water, with electricity for light and charging, but not for refrigeration. My annual rental was $1500 per year for 15 years, but it's been 5years since I've rented it. In hind sight it was cheap and the most reasonable arrangement I've ever had. There was plenty of room for storage of gear and the security was great. There probably are some places in CC like I had in Port A, but I've never explored them. I never slept very well when my boat was outside next to a motel, and I sure did not leave anything in the boat, and would not encourage anyone to. I can recall numerous times hauling everything off the boat and sometimes the suburban into the motel room. Good luck finding what you need. You might look near the HEB in the Bluff just off Waldron and there are some boat storage areas there. Maybe they will make a short term agreement with you, but I doubt it. My landlord in Port A was Mark Grosse (real estate) at 361-749-6603 and I could not have asked for a better arrangement.

Doubt there is a place by the night with electricity. With people staying in cabins down the laguna it's common to pay for a few nights to leave a truck and trailer at a marina. There shouldn't be a problem paying to park your boat at one of these. I wouldn't leave anything in the boat you want to keep.

Mark Grosso who is a realter in Port A with his offices near the Capt Quarters motel owns all of them there. You might ask him if he would let you do a day to day.

I currently keep mine at the Boat Stop on Waldron and Graham. There is a mechanic there across the street that the gate is locked at night maybe he would let you spot it there a few days.

Also Billy Holms who owns Gulf Coast Marine will be opening his new Boat Barns up behind his business in January.

We pay $130 a month at the Boat Stop. Great facility. We priced the ones going in behind Gulf Coast Marine - $260 a month for a regular month to month. You can get it a little lower with a long term lease, ACH draft, etc. but it is still expensive.
