I talked to a gentleman named Jonathan about what's going on with the buildings there at the bluff landing. The building by the parking lot where they hold fishing tournament meetings is now an event center called that Landing.it's open Thursday through Monday evenings with beer and wine and also various finger foods. They have you peel em shrimp, ceviche, sandwiches food trucks outside. They are closed Tuesday and Wednesday as per City orders to thoroughly clean everything.
The restaurant has been totally gutted and it is planning on opening in February. It will be mainly seafood restaurant but with other options available as well. They are planning on using a lot of the locals for fish supplies life flounder and drum etc. That will be called the Lookout.

Thanks for the update Zia, Just hope the seafood will be as good as the ol place was. When we lived in the island for 15 years sure liked dropping by Snoopys by boat just about every weekend. For every two folks on board we would always order a family order of, drum, shrimp, and oysters and of course some brewskys. Then the price went up and the portions got smaller. Have not eaten there since Erinie sold.

I first went to Snoopy's back in 1981 when it was basically just a hangout for a bunch of old fisherman to tell their lies,
I mean stories.

Portion szes went down after the sale of Snoopy's. People must have complained because portion sizes are back up again!

I'm encouraged for Zia, since the Laguna Reef was his primary source of food when he didn't feel like cooking! It looks like he will have the opportunity for some creative meals!

Mary and I went over yesterday to check it out. when we got there there was a guy playing a guitar and singing and he left shortly after we got there. no music the rest of the night. we had a couple beers that were five bucks a piece. The menu was expensive. They had panini sandwiches for 10 or $12 the size of dinner rolls. They had shrimp either half pound or a pound and I can't remember the price of those but they had a oyster sampler platter. It was $8 and you got three raw oysters. Yep three oysters for eight bucks. Probably won't go back very frequently

Yep remember snoopys back in 70s 80s had grest burgers. Old cinderblock building if memory is correct. Sat directly across from bait stand on nw side off jfk long gone. May the drum we used to lay up on the beach in those days. I gotta dig out some old pics put em in archives on here. Thanks for all the memories dad...
