Anxious to take my son fishing and would like to launch out of Aransas Pass.

Will get there about 7-7:30a on a Saturday and retrieving around 3pm.

Which ramp would be better for less congestion and safety? Aransas Pass Public Boat Ramp or Conn Brown HarborPoint Park?

Depends on where you are coming from. Which one keeps you off of the ferry?

I've used both with no problems. Of the two I prefer the public docks at AP simply because there are more places to get bait and snacks.

Ferry not a concern since coming from San Antonio. Will have everything we need, just need best for launch and safety in leaving vehicle behind.

Ransom Boat ramp looks like it has plenty of parking. And of course there is Conn Brown. Heard CB gets crowded.

They will both be busy on the weekends. Both are safe. Ransom ramp has fewer parking spaces but is rarely filled. Lots of boats at CB. I normally put in at Ransom. Bait is available at both locations.

Thanks for the suggestion. I gave them a call and it's only for their use.

Now I'm wondering what Delta will do to the conditions and if we should even try and make the trip down. Son and I had been looking forward to it for a long time but stuff happens...
