So we've all seen the devastation Hanna did to BHP, but does anyone have a status on HCP? I haven't heard a peep over it, and I know Port A was getting just about the same surge as PI was. Anybody know anything?

BlueGhost: I spoke with a friend in PA and she says HCP is open for business until 7 pm every day with a cash-only policy for admission and other purchases one might make. Motor powered vehicles on the beach are NOT allowed so its a walk-in situation. You can call them at 361-749-5333 for more info.

Not great but not bad. Glad they escaped damage. BHP will be missed, but rebuilt - again.

Let's see how much longer this 'no vehicle' crap holds up against the Open Beaches Act. Brabra Confucius is in for a butt-handing, and not in the way she likes.

Hopefully rebuilt soon, bigger and better. Would be nice if it went out a bit further and had better lights etc...

Does anyone know when they will be back to 24 hour status.

I prefer to do my fishing late night to avoid crowds and heat.

Take all of the non-floatable concrete block etc and distribute it alongside the pier to make a mini reef to attract even more fish. If CC was fwd thinking they would do the same with any concrete, brick/block and metal pipe that was created around town during construction/reconstruction/demolition projects. The better the fishing gets, the more $$$ flow into CC.
