I have scheduled leave starting 8/14/2020. Can anyone help with some info? What local area beaches are open for vehicular traffic. I like to camp near where I fish but am worried about preparing all my gear and returning home without using it. TIA

In Port A in a beach house on the island. No vehicle traffic allowed. You CAN get a golf cart...

Its a disappointment to see the beaches and pins closed. Being a native to cc but living and working in San Antonio its good you guys keep up on posts here on openings closings and conditions. Having a 2 hr drive every little bot of intel helps when wanting to make it down. Here lately my Majek RFL been getting tons of use. Due to closeures but boat ramps being open it is my option but takes away from the surf fishing i do love to do an enjoy. Most trips lately have been south to Port Isabel where fishing has been great. Wadefishing barefoot does it for me great water and bottom down there. Well hope things get to normal and people act responsibly. We dont need a shut down on life period just use common sense wssh your supple bum, hands, cover your mouth and stay safeyall take care god bless.

Its good you guys keep up on openings closings ect on here. Being a native to CC but living in San Antonio for decades now I see all of the posts as a good thing. I will admit im more out of touch than i would care to be about news down there i care and try to keep up. All i can say is i love surf fishing too and as of March my Majek RFL and f 250 been gettin workouts with boat ramps open. I hope things return to some sense of normal eventually. I hope people just do the right thing wash your nasty self, cover your mouth, and a bit of personal space. Then in nov at election time cha ching bye bye idiots. The time to pay the piper is coming due.yall take care be safe god bless.
