| There are numerous locations, including on the South jetty, along the ship channel, the beach, along 361 heading South to Corpus Christi, and the beaches at Corpus Christi. One might spend their entire lifetime exploring those areas, and all for free! |

There is a list of wade fish areas on this website. Look in the left index. Also, I suggest you go into google earth zoom in and carefully look at the shorlines. You will find many open areas and roadways going back into the bays. In particular look at the roadway on the island between PA and Packery Channel. Packery jetties and packery channel are also good places to fish. _________________ Now that food has replaced my sex life I can't even get into my own pants!!!!!!!!

Just a little ways north of Aransas Pass is St. Charles Bay (just north of Goose Island SP, basically). Good wade fishing, and if you have a kayak and a little time, you can get out into the bay proper and hit the shorelines. Admittedly it's always hit or miss for me (but I suck at bay fishing/wading)...but its generally pretty easy access and it's free. Can also try Lamar Beach Rd. right on the bay. Just lock the doors.... I've also tried to get into Copano for a wade right off the road, but it's not easy because the loop there is pretty tight with private properties you CANNOT trespass on, nor should you ever think about it without permission. _________________ Fish ON! |
