I know I can get the Nueces county/Mustang Island beach passes at HEB/Stripes. Where can I purchase the annual beach pass for PINS. Typically we never venture down that far but considering time of year we may have to to find plenty of room. Thanks as always for answer the out of towner questions.

Only at the entrance shack, or the Visitor Center if it's not manned.

You can get them at the guard shack on your way in. They open at 7 am and close at 5pm. If mine has expired and im there early, I leave a note on my dash saying I'll pick one up on the way out, which I do, and haven't had an issue. I've never been checked for a pass while.on the sand, and never directly at the bird island ramp. Hope this helps!

Yeah I want to do it the right way knowing good and well probably won't be checked. I know the majority of the money is kept local.

I try to get down that way once a year. My dad was from Corpus and passed about 11 years back. I bring my family, sister, nephew and mom down most years and spend a week at a place he loved.

Last time I was there (~2 weeks ago) I just flashed my card at the guard and he saw the punch hole was good enough. I'm not even sure he glanced at the year, LOL. But yes - I will buy the annual pass each year because I know the majority of what I spend is spent on OUR park.
