Put in at about 7 this evening, did not have long to fish before dark. Tried to make the best of it. The previous thread made me throw this. Was pretty impressed that it did not pick up a lot of floating grass. I was out solo but must admit I was talking to the bait a bit (like Mark The Bird Fydrich talking to the baseball) and finally she connected.
Backyard, 25 and CPRed. Sorry if the pic is huge, Imgur is not my friend.

Does anyone know what that little thing sticking out above where the lower hook is on the trout? It is very clear on the original picture... _________________

I am referring to the the spot just above the eye of the lower hook. And, there is one a little bit higher. I saw the grass... _________________

Here are a few pics from Saturday. A late morning drift produced a Flour Bluff Slam.
The trout and drum were caught on an old Norton paddletail found in a far corner of the tackle box, lol.
