I am headed back to Padre the week after the 4ths. I know crowds may be bad with the holiday. I plan on heading down the beach to escape the madhouse but wanted to check with you all first. I will be in Subaru and sister will be in Jeep Cherokee. I know what to bring but realistically how far can I expect to run down and not have to many issues. Tide charts are showing 1.7-1.8 during 6-10 AM time frames.
Anything I need to watch out for and any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Resubmit this exact same question around July 1st. You can expect a much better answer. This far out (June 1st) is a total wild guess on beach conditions, other than "it's softer at Little Shell, and even softer at Big Shell".
