| Thanks for your weekly report Tyler. That water looked ugly. I think a lot of that is what's going into the Laguna. Didn't fish today, I have no report. Went and donated blood instead. Some neighbors went out and they went to the dark side and used live shrimp under a cork and did fairly well in the backyard |

Waters Mighty Ugly, and Coastal Flooding has it pushed up pretty high. Not to the dunes, but what's left that's drive-able is really chewed up from the crowds that descended on the beach this past week 1/2 or so. Best have a 4WD, or at least that's my recommendation north of Newport Pass to the State Park bollards.
[Edited after a quick trip south of Bob Hall @ lunch]
Washed up to the base of the dunes at high tide this am. Receding now, but soft and wet sand abounds. What is dry up high is 4WD worthy. Past MM 245 or so, it widens some, but it's a mess out there for the weekend.
Ought to be an absolute zoo this weekend - thankfully the front ought to make the beach an afterthought, at least for Saturday. |
