Last evening driving out, south of 12 as I recall, there was a tall dune and on top, a coyote sitting - looking out over the gulf - i just caught the view and by the time i got the camera up , he was up on all fours. That picture is not too clear, of course, sun behind him , etc. etc.

It looked very regal - like a lion king pose - made me wish i were an artist - so i didnt have to be so quick on the draw with the camera , and focus, and light, and all.

Since TinyPic died (rip) what are yall using to render jpgs for including here now?

Saw three running through the shortgrass this morning at Tarzan up on the LLano. Another treasure lost to the plow and the drill bit. Billy ever chill up on the Staked Plains? (He would have loved it in it's day)

The coyote population on the island is dependent on the Armstrong ranch. At one time they were so thick, you had to chain up your dog at night to keep them from luring him into the dunes and killing him.
