Going thru my phone, and came across the picture of me at the Bone Yard in the Science Museum.
In a 1/10th mile stretch south of the Bowl one day, I came across 6 different pop-up skeletons on full display. But Hey, skeleton #1 owner, thanks for taking the time to bag your trash is a 'Leave it Better' free bag - [insert IRONY rim-shot here]. I'd have thought that the extra space in your vehicle freed up by the skeleton would have been enough to load the trash....... But Noooooooooooo!!!!! |

| Those always have me wondering. Why take the canopy and leave the frame? What are they going to use it on? |

| About 10 yrs. or so ago the Mrs. and I saw a lot of them and started counting them driving down the beach between access road 1a and pa south jetty, after we had passed no telling how many, and counted either 27 or 29. We called them skeletons as well, but I like Tyler's term, spiders also! |

Kinda like speeding tickets, or red light runners. If the cops don't see you doing it,....well, you got away with it.
But what chaps my hide the most... You packed it out, take it back with you. I know it fits in your vehicle. |

I wonder if there is any use for those thin and flimsy aluminum rods... _________________

| This land is my land, this land is your land,,,,,,,,,KEEP IT CLEAN! That's what I think every time I see this type abuse of nature or public places. However, I'm a little surprised the aluminum is not valuable to someone to take to the metal recyclers. It should be easier than collecting cans? |

| The skeletons might sometimes get left behind because once they get so twisted and bent by the wind, they no longer fold up into a small package that will fit in the car. The cover can be detached and folded up to fit, but not the bent frame. So, you try and try to bend/break into smaller pieces....no luck, but you do get cut up on the sharp edges. You maybe even try tying it to car and dragging down beach til you find a trash can to tie it to. Or, you get lucky, and some nice fishermen in a big vehicle stop to help and manage to smash it down enough to wedge into their pickup truck to haul off for you. This is not to excuse leaving them behind....but without the help of those nice fishermen years ago, I might still be out there trying to get the remains into my car. After that experience, I learned to only use small, round sun umbrellas ...... |

| We've never had one crater on us. We usually find something on the beach, tie a rope to it, dig a hole, drop whatever we find into the hole, cover it and then stretch a rope to the frame. We also drop the frame into the wind. That's held up to some pretty big wind. I wonder if sometimes they are just a one-time use thing for some folks, and they don't mind leaving it behind on their way home to wherever. They sure don't mind leaving a lot of other junk too at times it seems. |

| That was my thinking fishinglady. Thing is why doesn't the trash trucks pick it up when they are picking up the trash cans. If it can't fit in a trash truck so definitely won't fit in a small vehicle but there's got to be something that can be done about it |
