My son sent me this pic from a dive he did in Fiji. I've been kinda upset with him since I saw the pic. He said they went out to dive with Bull sharks (thats crazy enough), but that three large Tigers came in a ran the Bull sharks off. He said they we all 14'-16' long by their estimation.

Would any of you do this? I'm up for adventure but not this and not even large bull sharks being fed. A random shark is fine, but not this.

The tough thing about raising strong adventurous independent children, is when we succeed. About this time two years ago, the picture I received from my youngest, was her walking across the inside of an active volcano, bubbling lava, some awful looking smoke coming up near her.

When I was this age, i guess what I thought was a bit adventurous was learning to fly a glider, climbing desert mountains and hiking the grand canyon. Scary, but there were no lava pits anywhere near, nor animals near by who looked very intent on eating somebody.

But I never sent pictures to my parents about what I was doing back then, like mine and yours have sure done. Hang in there.

I am an avid diver and diving with tigers and bulls is not that uncommon. Its the Atlantic Whitetips that are the sketchy ones.

As a diver and in a "controlled" environment like that is done on shark dives in Fiji, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Sure, it has an element of danger, but driving on I-37 between CC and SA scares the heck out of me sometimes.

I would do it, but I would prefer wearing one of those bite-resistant chain suits just in case. Bull sharks are one thing, but if you've got tigers coming in to feed like that, wow. And yes, any oceanic species I'd be pretty sure it's time to get out of the water.
