Has anyone on this board recently fished in the Packery Channel/Packery Park areas? Looking to wade or fish from shore. Not ready to put the kayak in the water yet. Timely responses appreciated. _________________ HooYah!

Went for a wade anyway and dirty water report was spot on. Incoming tide with LOTS of mullet and perch but no sportfish were harmed. Waded from the park down to the West bend throwing a white Gulp swimming mullet with zero fished hooked. Saw a tent camped on the beach at the bend. Nice walk and enjoyed a stogie. Out of the water by 10:30, soaking wet from sweating. _________________ HooYah!

| What is causing the channel to be so dirty. Tides? Currents? I drove over today and was suprised since the water is normally a green color in the channel |

It is the same dirty color as the surf, and comes in on the tide
The bays is much clearer further from Packery |
