LMAO!!!!!!

I sure hope not either, and I think we have the right people watching this to ensure that it doesn't....
and believe it or not, the attention that it has received from this board has actually reached downtown...
the power of Corpusfishing!

Becky.....you sure have a positive attitude I certainly hope things work out.
I'm a realist that has work directly with the city on a couple of projects as you know one was the boat ramp project. The city still has water falls to fix, windmills to repair, a downtown to continue to screw up and a waterpark to
subsidize funding for.
Nope, this Laguna Shores Rd. project is on its way to nowhere.
BTW, you know that city engineering screwed up the boat ramp that was built at Clem's. No positive attitude on my part.

| Hope they do a better job on Laguna Shores road than they did on Clem's boat ramp. |

| Drove by there today and road is looking good. Complete overlay and stripes down the middle. Was going to take a picture but it was drizzly and cold and windy and I didn't want to get out of the truck. |

| Can't wait for them to get down to our end of Laguna Shores. The holes are getting huge then they are filling jarring |

I had the opportunity to drive over a portion of the new North end of Laguna Shores, and it was pretty disappointing. If what I experienced yesterday is what we have to look forward to for the balance of Laguna Shores it's pretty sad. I estimate it will be back to it's old self in less than six months, because there are already semi pot holes forming. Just another example of Corpus Christi road maintenance from my perspective.
I took a second ride over the "repair" and it sure looks like the finished product, because the pavement is level with the manholes. etc. The City of Corpus Christi seriously needs to replace the person or persons in charge of road maintenance and get someone who knows what they are doing, because the current results are not acceptable. Anyone in FlourBluff gotten any reduction on their property taxes for substandard road maintenance? I'm sure you haven't, as I haven't, but I'm sure tired of the substandard roads, or maybe I should say, I'm tired of the road standards of the City of Corpus Christi!

| After seeing Bayfly post I decided to take a ride down Laguna Shores. I hope that's not the final coat on that road because it is terrible right now. Hopefully that's just temporary |

Zia, Laguna Shores... It is what it is.......
Just look at the overlay they did on Ocean Dr., THE premier street in this City. Headed down to the County Courthouse this am, and the drive was PITIFUL....
If I worked for the City Street Dept., or had the overlay contract for just about any street, I'd be ashamed of my workmanship. |

I think Laguna Shores should be the premier street in Flour Bluff, a good road that would permit a glance or 2 at the bay. The condition it is in makes driving a chore, and prevents most kinds of development. Which may be a hidden virtue!
Oh well, it keeps the riff raff in (me included). |

Drove it last night. Please tell me this is not the final product. Just as rough as before.......... as the old saying goes, "Lipstick on a Pig". Just give the damn contract to HAAS and let them do it correctly, the first time and be done with it. So frustrating to be dishing out almost 7k a year in RE taxes and getting "crap" for it. |

It makes you wonder what the specs were for the part that the sewage contract was supposed to repair after the sewage main was installed down the middle of the road.
Did it say "return to original condition"? |
