A good friend of mine, and softball buddy, invited me out to his Ranch over by Three Rivers to help cull some does off of his ranch. Got out there and just before the feeder went off and nice 8-point buck came out and was feeding. Wish it was a week ago I would have had a nice buck. A short while later two does come out, one was behind some brush but this one unfortunately for her, fortunately for me, was a perfect shot. Considered headshot but being I only get one shot of year to get a deer decided to you play it safe and bang, the thirty-ought-six goes off and she just Falls over right where she was. Looking forward to some great venison steaks as well as some jerky.

Finished processing it myself today. Lots of very tender meat. Jerky, steaks, stew meat, chili, and stroganoff. Looking forward to a lot of venison meals in the future
