A quick heads up if you plan on driving down PINS this weekend.
I went to the 21 this morning. Starting about 10 there is significant amount of drift wood and only got thicker to where I stopped. It is anything from big trees, logs, limbs, branches and twigs. The mass is about 20 ft wide. As a result you must drive on the high road and it is becoming churned up. Perhaps at a very low tide you might be able to run low and bypass.

Hiya!,

Thanks for the heads up. I will past the word on to those at the shop and if I hear anyone heading south.

We tried it last weekend. The water was really high and the sand was really soft. Lots of weeds and so much wood it was hard to stay out of the soft sand, even though soft was mostly everywhere.
So foggy you couldnt see 100 yards.
Stopped at 6 mile and fished a while. 1 bite no hookup. lots of weed.
Sand was so soft by 8 mile we stopped and fished, nothing.
I thought about going on but then I had a conversation with myself and said self not much sand between water and dunes at 8 mile on low tide and you know it only gets worse the further you go. I agreed and turned around and went back, since we had bottomed out without spinning twice already only say 1 going south and 3 going north.
Went to Packery and the wife caught 50 perch (yes she eats them). I caught 3 small whiting and that was a wrap.
