How old was Stan?? Just as he was able to finally retire and get serious about life. He will be missed as is Capt Billy. Both good men that leaves a very large hole. _________________ Gary J

I'm absolutely floored to hear this! Stan was doing so well.

From the time I joined this forum, I noticed Stan was always helpful. And, since his most recent posts were so positive, I expected to see many more posts from Stan.
Sadly, that will not be so.
My condolences and wish for peace to Deb and the rest of Stan's family.
As for Stan, may he rest in peace.
He will be missed by many... _________________

Shocked....so many great posts, the morning breakfast reports. Such a kind and caring person. And you really missed out if you never made one of his _________________ "I do hunt and I do fish and I do not apologize to anyone that I hunt and fish." - Norman Schwarzkopf |

Got off the beach and just can't believe the news. Stan was doing so much with his walks and everything else. Rest in Peace Stan and prayers for the family. Stan was always kind and welcoming to everyone, with a keen wit to boot. We've all lost such a giving soul. _________________ Protect Padre at all costs for future generations to use and enjoy and never forget our freedoms aren't free.

Prayers to his family and for the repose of his soul. He's not just in a "better" place. He's in the BEST place.

Just dropped in to check the forum and this is what I see. Cant believe it. What a huge part of this forum and great member of the fishing community. Ill always remember him busting people for dumping along laguna shores. Wish I could have made a fish fry. Rest in peace, Amigo. _________________
