| Launched out of Marker 37, was at the jetty mouth by 7 am on a strong incoming tide.. Water temp was 83 degrees. We started hopscotching rigs with no bites at all. The further out we went the colder the temp. At 9 miles due east of the beach it was 77. Fantastic visibility and almost no swell or current, that milky water professor Salt mentioned was gone. We gave up and came back in shore by 11, where we promptly picked up three kings within a couple hundred yards of the north jetty. There was an amazing amount of boat traffic for a Friday, Marker 37 had some sort of event going on and tempers at the ramp were pretty heated. One guy power loaded his flats boat so hard the prop wash shoved the boat next to him off the bunks and onto the trailer fenders. |

Yeah I was getting my fish cleaned up over at marker 37 friday and asked what all the new construction was about. The construction is so they can put in a new fuel pump system and storage for diesel and super /unleaded also they plan to extend the parking lot too which is why all the big trucks were coming thru. It was staff there that told me so lets hope they extend the parking cause I got stuck parking at snoopys that day cause the parking was so bad. _________________ Hey that gull took your bait |
