My daughter and son-in-law coming in from San Antonio next week and they requested that we go out fishing and look for some big trout. They have caught a lot of small trout but they want to get something big this time. As you know most of my fishing I just like catching fish and I never really Target big girls. I catch my share but never really Target them. If I was to go out in the northern end of the Laguna by boat any suggestions on where to look to increase their odds.

I'd say go work a shoreline in knee to waist deep water throwing a topwater. I like spook jr.s... black/chrome.

this time of year, I've always found the largest trout way back in the barrier island lakes on a rising tide - their feeding slashes are also impossible to miss there - you can see them a half-mile away.

Thanks everybody for the info. As it turns out I won't be having visitors this weekend after all. Turns out Mary's nephew and his wife just had a baby boy up in here in San Antonio is in NICU. So my daughter-in-law and her husband are going to stay there and help Mom and Dad with the new baby
