After dinner this evening Mary and I needed to get out of the house and we took a trip down sbh. I have not seen the beach so flat, clean and wide in a long time. The dunes are wiped out up to the mile marker signs but no real bad erosion. when we reached the bollards at the park entrance there was a big pile of sand in the only place that you can drive through so we had to turn around and come back toward Bob Hall. Decided to swing by my son's condo out on the island to check it out see if there was any damage. When we got there we didn't see any external damage but we saw a light on inside so we went up to see what was going on. Turns out our grandson his wife in our two great-grandsons were there. So we're able to spend about 45 minutes playing with the little guys. Turned out to be a fun trip. They had power and TV out there and we were wishfully thinking that we would have it when we got home. No such luck

Thanks for the update. From what I've read it looks like NPI was mostly spared. Early reports don't look so good for port A. So very sad.
