My ground elev. is 8 ft floor is 11 ft. If you leave you might not get back soon. Just my opinion. Hard to go when you got 5 cats and 2 dogs. Models showing it will go a little north of us.

Staying as well. Wife and kids went to Waco. I've got a big drain next to the house that feeds to the bay. That may be a problem, but I'm a couple miles from the water.

Staying ,we are out in the TM/Callalen area, 25 miles inland. Daughter and granddaughter came over to help with preparations - did not expect the storm to ramp up like they said it will but not surprised. Not my first rodeo, wouldnt surprise me to wake up and hear its turned around and headed for Florida.
Me, wife, daughter Amanda (fishing bud) , granddaughter (fishing bud), 3 dogs, 2 parakeets.

still trying to decide. We're 17 or 18 feet but our street flooded last spring in that heavy rain. none of the houses got water but a few were very close.

nothing against rockport or port lavaca, but I hope it steers to the north a little more.

I don't like the idea of leaving and them not letting us back in to our own homes, which is very likely.
