*^&$#* Tyler! That's almost as bad as saying those two words that seem to follow what you had the audacity to mention.
It's been hovering at 80-81 here the last few days & I'm worried as well. Keep telling myself it's just the strong winds cooling the water a few degrees.
Probably going for a quickie trout run in the morning. Wind is supposed to lay down a little. Not expecting anything. At least we got 1 week in the last 5 years. Freezer is over flowing with surf trout.
Will post a report if anybody is interested in SPI. |

I saw that (or more literally, felt it, yesterday evening at Access Rd. 3), and checked the Blutcher Site this morning.

A cold water upwelling can precede a red tide. If you've never been on the beach when it's there, you need to experience it firsthand. |

| Water is turquoise two or 300 yards off the beach just north of Bob hall pier but is very brown in the surf zone. Is that cold water upwelling or just wind chop? It is so pretty several hundred yards off the beach that I was suspicious as to how brown it is on the beach... |

| Can confirm this as well. Camped on PINS near 47 over the weekend and LOTS of tar washing in. You could feel waves of cool water. Fishing was still decent with surf trout, whiting, skip jacks. |
