Yes, an odd post but I have a potted grapefruit tree about 4' tall. It's several years old. I grew it from a seed from fruit from our tree in The Bluff.

It's getting to be a hassle bringing it inside during freezes here in San Antonio and if I plant it in SA it likely won't handle winter. Plus, I doubt it'll ever get germinated here in SA.

I don't have space to plant it in our Bluff yard so I'm hoping to re-home it down south where it belongs.

I'll lay her down in the truck bed and haul her down for anyone who is interested in her this weekend/next week. Feel free to PM me.

I know of a grapefruit tree out in Schertz, TX that is taller than a single story home. The grapefruit is so plentiful that they are all over the yard and even on top of the roof. I don't know why but just recently, the home was taken down and the lot was cleared out.

A buddy of mine has one in Freeport and it's freakin awesome. He gives away boxes every fall and they are the best. I'd take it off your hands if I was in CC already.. my move is delayed though..

Not sure that seed will be exactly like the fruit it came from. Most of the time you need to buy a tree that has been grafted. However Ralph Wade the old surf legend had an avocado tree he planted from a seed from an avocado he bought from HEB and the avocadoes it produced were excellent.
