| Cruised the beach from bob hall all the way to the 10 mile marker on pins. The water was great, clear and very little if any weed, no man o'war or jellyfish. My son and I hit the wade gut throwing an assortment of plastics, top waters and spoons. Didn't catch a fish. Oh well, there was a good amount of mullet in the surf. We did see a couple of trout cruising, just not interested. Great day to be on the sand. And driving was great too. |

Saw a similar thing, but didn't go nearly as far. From Bob Hall to the Bowl, very nice conditions, mainly hard packed sand, water down to a manageable level, and despite lots of folks with lines out, only saw 1 or 2 whiting landed.
The 'brown, floating plant material' from last week was mainly gone, and the clarity out to the 3rd-4th bar is noticeably improved. Almost a Pomp clarity look to it (it's still too early for smacks). |

| I went a bit farther today. A little past the 25-27 or so. Easy 2wd, even during high tide. Water was chilly and off colored. Some whiting where there, but not lots of them and didn't see any Muller or much other fish activity. |

Went out today and put out three rods. Cut mullet, cut skipjack, and shrimp and fish bites. Only got this one 18-inch pomp.
Little more surf today than yesterday but still very clean |

| Spanish are here, they're just staged in deeper water for now. A friend and I paddled out from the same area Thursday afternoon and found jacks, spanish, blues, snapper and even a fat strawberry grouper around our target structure. Paddling back to shore I trolled a shallow diving lure and caught five more jacks and a spanish. Half a mile from the beach, I was forced to stop fishing so I could running the surf before darkness fell. Lots of fish are here, they just need to move into the surf! |
