Just talked to a friend of mine who said the boat ramp is closing due to trash and something to do with the city. He couldn't launch. Now I don't know the full story at all. Maybe some folks will chime in and bring this story up to snuff. It would suck to haul a boat through all them bumps and potholes just to be turned around. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Maybe they closed the ramp so the City could repair all of the bumps and potholes? |

That would stink although lately I've been using the nice outlaw ramp in Tropic Isles.
Does anyone know the story behind the "game warden" ramp on Laguna Shores near Graham? |

I used that ramp for 20-25 years never a complaint. It was the best place to launch. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

I launch there 5-6 days per week. Never heard anything like that. As far as trash............. super clean marina and grounds.
The city should be smacked around for the quality of the streets out here. Laguna Shores Road is a joke, and embarrassment for a city of this size. |

There is a HUGE amount of traffic on Laguna Shores because of the schools on Hustlin' Hornet Drive and Waldron Rd. That is not going to quit, so the road will get worse.
Maybe the city should hit the schools up for money to fix ALL of Laguna Shores Rd, not just the 3/4 mile near the junction of Laguna Shores and Hustlin Hornet.
Despite a few places that have fallen on tougher times, the road is a beautiful drive, but a driver cannot enjoy it due to strict attention to dodging ruts and potholes. The City should make it a showpiece shoreline road.
Latest Road Bond passed in November was $18,350,000 |

Spoke with Mike (managing partner) this morning and the issue is with the Tropic Isles area ramp........ which is owned by the primary investor in Bluffs Landing.
Illegal dumping, and trash by some of those using the ramp has resulted in the entry being roped off and ramps bollard to prevent launching.
Bluffs Landing Marina is fully operational. |
