X2 ? I know that Shallow Sport makes an X3. It is a great, all round., boat. _________________ "I do hunt and I do fish and I do not apologize to anyone that I hunt and fish." - Norman Schwarzkopf |

| My brother in law has a 24' blazer bay. Great for bay or offshore. Won't go real shallow, but will go most places in bay. |

| If you're not familiar with the area I'd start with an aluminum cuz you're prolly going to run it over every oyster reef! 😩 |

Just throwing out my $.02. I see all sorts of boats out there and I'm not saying one is better than the other. Not interested in starting a war. But assuming you're fishing for reds, trout, and flounder and you'd like to be able to get somewhat skinny I'd propose the following manufactures to be some of the most popular in this area: Majek, Shallow Sport, Haynie, Trans Sport, Shoalwater.
Take a look at their websites and see if something fits. _________________ Do you even fish, Bro? |

Buy a boat when you get here!
Go out with a guide a few times first and fish each bay system from Mansfield to Port Conner. When you know what type of fishing and hunting you want to do buy the boat.

It's not the best flats/offshore/bay boat but like a Swiss Army knife, it's close enough. |

X3.
I like what Hoggeman said. Thankfully had some friends take me out several times to various areas using different craft. Gave some experience as to what I was wanting and what craft would suit the best instead of going into it completely blind.
Any updates on your move or boat search?

The x2 means I second the above quote about the Whaler. _________________ Salad, Salad, everywhere and not a bite to eat. |
