Today was Mary's friend Linda's birthday and she asked.me to take her fishing. She hadn't caught a good fish in awhile. Hit my usual spots, after the rain, with minimal success. Went to krs and got a few decent fish, including a 24" red. Decided to try nighthawk. On the way there I see a big wake and shut down quickly. She threw out her shrimp/cork and me my sand eel. Double hook-up. Linda lands a 36" red and me a 32. After taking pics with Linda's camera we looked for the school. Saw it in a distance and circled around and headed it off. We were drifting toward it while it was swimming toward us. Linda couldn't reach it with her cast. My lure landed on the edge of the school and as soon as it hit, wham, fish on. 38.75" beast. I wanted to let it go but Linda wanted it, so a tag went on it and on the ice it went. Linda was in 7th heaven with her birthday trip. She sent me pics from her phone but couldn't figure how to upload them to photobucket, so had to settle with posting a pic of me with the fish taken when we got back.

BTW, when cleaning that monster it gad a whole 6" blue crab in its gut.

it is a nice big redfish. I guess that would be in the hog category. Very Happy
