I'm new to the forum and also new to kayak fishing; really saltwater fishing in general. Was wondering recommendations for this area and maybe some spots to try out. Not asking for honey holes, but maybe some pointers and helping hands. I know the spots to put in but not the spots that produce fish. Thanks!!

Kratz's, site 55, and the Salt Mine, are all easy access and the fishing can be real good.

I have heard of Salt Mines being throw around a lot, but don't really know where it is. Do you happen to know any directions? Thank you!

Could take you there, but as well as I remember, it's the first right (south) after the Williamson's Boat Works turn. Williamson's is another good area.

For good structure put your yak in at Kratz and fish north. There are a good set of rocks not too far off the beach and there is a fishing guides pier about 1/2 of the way to a point were the bay turns west. good fishing all the way'
The other sites shallowsport mentioned are also good, but don't have as much structure.
