I use a ShallowBlaster on a 200 hp Yamaha mounted on a 23' Explorer TV and it helps me run shallow by keeping water around my prop so the engine can be elevated. If you have a similar engine/hull I would encourage you to consider it.

Simple answer. Yes they do, when the right one is installed correctly. High horse power will require something better. Those have a history of breaking off taking a piece of amti-cav plate with it. If it's for hole shot start with a better prop. Then look inty the Shawwings, shallowblaster, ect. Stsy away from one in flat plastic packaging.
It's all part of the fun of B.O.A.T.

My gut feel is, if they really did work they would be coming from the engine/boat manufacturer already installed.

I HAVE found that trim tabs work well, (factory installed) but I'm not convinced on the aftermarket motor mounted fins.
