Railroad bridge off of Flour Bluff Drive. Lots of crabs in the Oso. While you're there you can probably catch flounder to stuff with the crabs you catch.

House is across the street from the water.
I will travel to spots to catch some nice crabs.
I will also be fishing on Bob Hall Pier.

Thanks Ziacatcher !

If you don't mind me asking, is that near Yorktown, or the other way down FBD. I was just looking at a map, and I am not sure where this location would be. Thanks.

The one on Yorktown is the old Mud Bridge. Zia is referring to the road off FBD (that curves behind the water-tower) and goes to the railroad bridge. So aptly named because the railroad used to parallel FBD and go all the way into NAS. It has been long since ripped out, save for the parts of the railroad that are embedded in the access road at SPID, which is why its always bumpy at that turnaround. TxDOT, in their infinite wisdom, left that section of rail in the roadway.... Mad

Bonus question. What is the name of the road leading to the mud bridge?

I guess it would be called the Holly Extension, it's extended from the other side.

That was a real sad curve to pass by when the trains were taking the torn up Hueys and Cobras to be repaired. I remember seeing many, many flatbed rail cars with helicopters passing by there.

I've had a lot of luck hooking a gulp on a jig head and just dragging it on the bottom while I'm walking along the bridge waiting to check my crab traps

I live on a canal front home and I haven't crabbed in about a month because I have so much crab meat saved up. I suspect they're still here. I will be setting out the traps on Saturday just to see what happens.

I put out 4 traps this morning and I checked them a while ago. There are 5 crabs in them. The crabs are still here. I'm sure that the count will double overnight.

OK, I have 10 crabs in the traps as of right now. My guess is, the crabs are still in this area. Razz
