South of Bob Hall, starting around marker 252, the County has utilized a bunch of your tax dollars, and erected a veritable forest of 6 X 6 X 12 posts, every 1/10th of a mile down to the boundary to the seashore.

Atop each, is this warning sign:

Effectively announcing that the "Bowl is Closed" !!!!!

I found a piece of this syntactic foam in it's natural habitat. Covered in fiberglass and consisting of a large block, buried in the sand.

Nah. 'They' are pretty much an urban legend these days. [Although, if you really want to see old, naked flesh, walk south at the PINS north sticks for about a mile or two. There is where the 'nature crowd' convenes in summer].

This is an attempt to 'manage' the land that the two counties agreed upon, although in my opinion, it's a bit of overkill. Really, every 1/10th of a mile?!?!! Confused

Do that for a mile each side of the Bowl, but plant a forest of posts for 6 miles...... Oh well, I guess that's why we pay taxes.

Hopefully they start enforcing the law on the "dune wheelers", as someone avid into offroading, and having a large group that I helped create, these guys give those of us who do wheel in an legal manner a bad name.
