Went gigging last night (Thursday, 1/7) out of Aransas Pass, and got one. It seems the run is pretty much over. Saw 2-3 other gigging boats out. Last trip of season for me.

All the big females have already made their way back to the Gulf. The only thing left are the small males. We are still giggin a few flounder here and there but the main focus now is limits of sheepshead & drum.

The floundering will get good again in March.
