I've never been able to land fish like thereallagunatic is able to so I finally decided to switch it up. Started playing with artificials and scouting new places. I've come home to put meat in the freezer two out of three trips so far.

Never tried for flounder before but figured the time is right. Didnt wind up with any flat fish but managed decent mixed box anyway. And the red one had some plastic digesting so maybe that's a sign I should keep working the 'stupid fish'.

Water was fairly clear with slight brown color. The usual grass on top but not so much to be a problem. All of them were eating gulp swimming mullet and aggressive in cooler water around 3'.

Was hoping to add some winged critters to the end of the day but they still arent cooperating. Maybe tomorrow...

All my bay fishing is with artificial baits. Surf and offshore I will use live or cut bait as well as artificial

Haha, I hope I can be as cool as my old man is at his age.

Convinced a handful of whistlers to get close enough. Redheads are still real leery though

The specs preferred a paddle tail today over the gulp but both caught fish. Might go back out here in a bit..
