Wednesday October 14th somewhere in the mid 30s down PINS I was on a bait mission for sharkathon chasing a school of ladyfish. There was red tide present the first 150 yards or so but out further the fish seem to be ok as they were feeding on anchovies and glass minnows.
After going 1 for 10 on lady fish I decide to head south and try another school of fish that appeared to be feeding closer to the beach. As I got close to them I saw that they were not feeding, they were dying. You can tell the difference in water color.
Sad to see them dying. Some were flipping out of the water as if they were hooked while others were swimming upside down with their mouth wide open.

Very sad. That really sucks! _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back.
That's a bummer and pretty trippy to see that.
I was out there chasing them offshore in the upper teens that Thursday. I was probably averaging 1 of 15 with big spoons and top waters. Switched to small spoons and that was the ticket. Drastically increased my hook ups to every three to four casts. Foul hooking those bigger ones made for a pretty fun fight. _________________ -Pat
