Got a pass and headed to Port A 11-13 for a dad only re-TREAT. Any new reports on the red there. I see it looks to be hanging out below the 30 on PINS but was not sure it there were any blooms to the north. Gonna hit the jetties and MI beach down to packery if need be. Any surf soft plastic style and color suggestions.

Anyone ever tried with any success floating a green LED in the first gut at night?

I was in Port A last week no signs of red tide. Good luck on your trip.

I actually saw you and your wife one day eating at the pizza place there in town back in july. I wanted to say hello but, did not want to intrude. Thanks for the news. Was thinking about boating over to the north and fishing where I have seen you and your wife have a good deal of luck. Do you think it would be productive?

It should, good time of year for fishing. We were down there Sept. 19-25 fished thge N jeety five days it produced all five trip. My buddy found a trout hole and we tore them up with free lined live shrimp and white plastic grubs with pink tails. All on the channel side. If you check out the post you maybe able to tell where by the back ground. Headed back down in two weeks, hopeing the bulls start running by then. Feel free to say hello anytime. I've met and fished with a few members of the forum. Good luck tight lines

Yeah Frederick I also ran into your and you crew last Friday. We were coming off the jetty boat when you were getting on. I mentioned to you that if y'all were leaving them the fish were done biting. You laughed and said the surf side was unfishable but had luck on the channel side. We passed on by and headed out. We fish a little further down in the surf and caught a couple bulls and sharpnose. Tried for trout in the channel but had no luck. We may head out again around the 23rd. Maybe they'll have turned on by then.

Cool, I remember. This year we got alot of trout. One day we had four limits in a hour. Next trip CPR we filled up the freezer. Unless we get into flounder they can come home with us. Good luck on your next trip, we will be looking for the bulls on 17-18. Tight lines
