I spent the last week in Washington, Seattle and Bellingham area where we buried my dad's ashes Friday and had a celebration of his long 96.5 year life. He passed away on May 3rd but we wanted some warm weather for his send off in his hometown of Bellingham.

We got there Wednesday evening and woke up to sunny weather with highs in the mid 70's so we decided to go up the mountain as my dad would say up the Mt. Baker Highway past Glacier, Washington. The road ends up here. You can only see Mt. Baker ( Big dormant volcano like Mt. Rainier) if you hike to a very high spot which would be to my right in the photo you see below. This is Mt. Shuksan viewed from Picture Lake. Taken with my trusty Samsung Galaxy 5.

Beautiful! Okay since I have been gone I could use some reports from everywhere otherwise I will be tap dancing trying to come up with material for Lago's show and the fishing report! Smile

He's actually at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham. This spot is under snow until the end of March. We placed his ashes on top of his folks grave.

Sorry for your loss. Final resting area is beautiful. The scene does at least help us think cool thoughts.

I'm so sorry that you lost your dad. I know you had good times fishing together. His ashes are in a beautiful place.

Only fishing report I have for you is from last Friday...lots of whiting caught in the surf SBH. I plan on trying the ULM tomorrow morning.

Sorry for your loss. Yes that is a gorgeous resting place.

I lost my mom at 93 a while back and even though your dad lived a full and long life it still isn't easy.
