Replacing a Academy Brand H2o reel and need help making a decision. Narrowed it down to 4. Which one of the 4 do you choose and why?

Penn Battle II 2500
Penn Battle II 3000
Penn Conflict 3000
Penn Spinfisher SSV 3500

lol IKR or one of each? Pretty much an all around use, Some freshwater here in SA and surrounding area, some Jetti and bay and some surf. Leaning to Spinfisher because its water tight.

But i like the Conflict also!!! any reasons to chose the Conflict over the Spinfisher. Any reason to pick the Conflict 2500 over 3000?

I have a couple of Penn Battle II 2500s that I bought to keep on my boat for people to use and so far they have held up well.

I'll take the higher end Quantums over all of 'em, but only Penn was mentioned in the OP. Still don't understand why more people don't use the Quantum spinners, but I guess it's because they have never tried one; the old chicken or egg thingy! Embarassed

The Cabo has ABSOLUTELY the most powerful and smooth drag for it's size of any reel that I've ever fish with, spinner or conventional. Mine is 4 years old and the new models have an even higher max drag and line capacity for a given model ! Very Happy

I use the battle 2 3000 on most all my combos for my friends and fam that dont know how to fish. Cheap, durable, and strong.

Thank you for the replies, I have always been a Shimano fanboy and wanted to try a Penn, the more reading i do almost leads me back to Shimano. Any thoughts on Shimano Stradic 3000? Or possibly a similar model? I have had other quantum products in the past and have never been pleased. I want to spend ~ $150 or less and get a spinning reel i can used in both the surf, the jetties, and on the lakes and rivers here at home, and use it for both Lures and soaking bait. Basically looking to get the best reel i can for my money that i can use as an all use reel ( i know not the ideal thing to do but its what i can afford to do). Please feel free to post any and all comments i just looking to gather as much info as i can to make the best possible decision i can.

Shimano Sahara for sure its the middle price one I think its around 79.99. I have a 2500 and a 3000. Used to have a Stradic which is the real expensive one, no better imo but I just use them for maulers and live bait, use citica for straight plastics.

I use a Penn Battle 3000 and have been satisfied with it. It holds up very well to surf fishing. It does not cast as well as some others I have used, but it is very well made. Landlocked mentioned Quantum. I can attest that they are indeed good quality. I had one that I gave away to my father in law that I wished I had not, but I owed him some money and he took it as payment. I also use a couple of cheap Shakespeare spinning reels that cast better than the Battle, and that I have landed good fish with. Long term they will probably not outlast the Penn, but if any reel is taken care of, they should last for years under moderate use.
