Last Thursday Kevin Keischnick asked me to join him on the beach to shoot some spots for KIII-TV about the Bluewater Kayak Classic. When we were done we headed out to fish around some rigs, and my first drift was a lucky one. This cobe not the largest in the world, but a 49" Ling is a pretty solid kayak fish! Very Happy

Prof. Salt ... where do you put those big fish after you catch them.
I did not see a fish bag in the front of the kayak.

Willee, I have a fishbag right behind me that sits on an aluminum frame. Since the kayak is designed different than most, I had to think outside the box but it works very well.

Bayfly, I was using ribbonfish on leaders I make myself. If you know what to do, you can make leaders that are much more successful than most store-bought stuff. Check my YouTube for a video on how to make them.

Great Job Prof! I still strongly believe my time will come when I can get a group together and we can head offshore to get in on some of that action. Fortunately my buddies still only stick to the bay's. Lol. Just have to keep showing them these videos of yours to help into effect them. Lol

I do what I can! Very Happy

The clock is ticking, but I'm really hoping to land a sail before summer closes out. The anchovy migration is about to crank up, and that might signal the end of my shot at a billfish for this year, but either way I'll still be heading out to fill the freezer.
