After 7 years of awesome fishing its time to say goodbye to Corpus Christi. Career moves take me to the ruthless hell hole that is Washinton DC for a few years, but the perks of the job and the field work will hopefully make it worth while (in two months I'll be catching fish from a submersible!). It puts me back closer to family on the east coast, and maybe I'll remember how to catch stripers again.

I've learned tons and tons from the amazing people on this board. Got lots of friends still in the area, so you can be sure to see me post a packery report or two when I come back for visits. I'll certainly check in from time to time to get my salt fix from Stan's coffee report, Zia's honey hole trips, Profs BTB adventures, Tino's epic meat hauls, Tyler's news network style beach reports, Colin's Padre island documentaries, and all the rest. Its not just the fishin I will miss, there are some really wonderful people down here and I'll miss them all.

Tight lines amigos!

-Luke

Hope it's another awesome chapter Luke. Submersible fishing sounds pretty interesting.

Oh, I slimed the yak this morning for the first time. Many more to come!

Will miss your reports and seeing you on the sand. DC is far from TX. but closer to home for you. No redfish surf migrations but I'm sure you'll have fun during striper season. Good luck!

Good luck in DC. You'll have to get after them snakeheads in the Potomac. I hear they are good eating if you can get past their ugly mugs. Very Happy Very Happy
