Last week offshore I was introduced to this contraption that my friend called a "cling-cling." It is ultimately an oversized sabiki rig that my friend made out of little kingfish dusters all with hooks and 3 way swivels. We would troll the cling-cling rig in between the furthest baits in the outriggers but still inside the shotgun and it produced a nice mess of blue runners, a few blackfin tuna, and actually one small 10lb yellowfin tuna. I'll try and get some pics of it. _________________ "I never had an Easter, but I've always had a bunch of speakers" - Beardo |

If you want hardtails with some size to them use the smallest Williamson Benthos. If you find the fish they love it.
Sabikis work well for smaller hardtails and will catch them faster but I like the small Benthos.
On the down side ..... when using the small Benthos you have to put up with Red Snapper, Kings, Mangroves, Jackfish and Ling .... |
