| I have had my yearly trip planned to go down to cc and stay with my old man this week. Since his heartattack he is unable to take the boat out solo, and this is the only week we have got to give it a shot. Do yall know if it's even worth launching out of Packery and trolling ribbon fish, or would be just wasting our time. This has always put us on at least a couple of fish in the past. Any advice is greatly appreciated. |

Absolutely worth a try. Kings have been caught on the PA jetty the last few weeks so they're around. Good luck. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

Also the surf / swell report looks awesome for this week through the weekend. Good luck! _________________ Great captains, the stuff of legend, are made not by what they have caught, but by what they have given back. |

| Definitely worth a shot, the blue water is not to far out and I believe it is getting closer. |

| Thanks fellas. That's a confidence booster. I've only used ribbons for kings. Any other baits we should try? |

Ribbons is all I've used too, but you can try various swim lures. Pack some spoons too, to cast in to baitballs and such. It's going to be an amazing week and weekend to be off shore.

| Went out thru Packery for a quickee this morning. Water temp is 77 degrees and the mudline is only about 200 yds off the tip of the jetty. Lots of bait jumping although I did not land anything in the hour I trolled Russellures around. Swells were pretty confused but not big. I just had time for one trip out to the Bob Hall standpipe and back, It looks very promising out there. |
