GuyR and I took advantage of the 3 foot seas yesterday and headed out on the 8hr trip on the Gulf Eagle out of Deep Sea Headquarters. A full crew was on board for the second to last day of snapper season for the party boat operators. We weren't disappointed. We limited out on snapper that averaged around 7 to 8 lbs.
We didn't fish for the sharpnose and let the tourists take ours.

That's an obvious photoshop job, because we ALL KNOW that there are no THE red snapper left in the Gulf. Laughing Laughing

That's a quality haul right there.

Nice catch. Deep Sea is still the premier location for head boat fishing in Port A, in my opinion. Always enjoyed the forum members fishing trips. Tyler you need to go on a floater trip this fall, nothing like it. Enjoy your fine eating.

That's true, there absolutely NO snapper out there!!! LOL We went a couple weeks ago. Limited the boat of about 20 people in less than an hour with similar size snapper. Then we went drifting in a couple of different locations for Kings. It was insane how many snapper we caught on drifted ribbons. Caught them everywhere we stopped on everything we tried. We couldn't get away from them!!!

Nice haul Tyler!!!!
