Have any of you installed one of these boosters on your boat? Was curious if they would work all the way down in Baffin or the Badlands.

I have one on the state truck for communications. They work, but you must have signal even if its weak. Learned the hard way if you are in an area where there is no signal, cell booster will not work.

I've had a Wilson signal booster for about 5 years and have it rigged up in my truck. I originally got it for improved phone signal working at onshore drilling sites where I don't get much phone signal. It's worked great for me and I highly recommend Wilson products. I also bought the cord to power it up on 120 volt plug so I could use it in my job trailers too, but I did run the antenna out up as high as I can get it. I know there is a cell tower right on Rivera Beach and with your amplifier it ought work great. Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone. I cannot decide if I should simply add a radio or the cell booster. Cell booster would be better, but obviously not perfect, like the radio in an emergency situation.

I would go with a radio if you want to use in an emergency. Their will be people in the area that can help out quicker than some people you can call.

AT&T has reception in badlands. Meadows not so much. Bird island not at all.

I do not intend to hi jack the post by asking this...what about on the beach side? Is it better to have a booster or go for a radio....if radio, what type?
