Wife wants to go to South Padre for our anniversary in October. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel? Not looking to save money and amenities like a nice bar, restaurant and pool are a plus. Thanks in advance.

I've only stayed at Suntide III. Nice older place a lot like Sandpiper here on Mustang. Pricey but aren't they all?

Pearl South Padre is the best hotel there, really sweet bar and pool like something in Miami. After that Isla Grand, they have a real cool pool/bar, it used to be the Radisson.

We stay on South Padre practially every other weekend . Without knowing your budget the sky is the limit you can find rooms on the beach side as cheap as 100 to 150 and the price can obvioulsy go up. Another option is to rent a beach house on the sand, those are really nice.

Baffinboy is correct....the Pearl is the best with great weekly rates in October. I think you can have 3 days free at the weekly rate compared to the daily rare that time of the year.
